Hello,    Welcome to First Grade! I am Mrs. Brittney Canezaro. I graduated from LSU in May of 2006. I had the privilege of student teaching right here at  Forest Heights Academy of Excellence with Mrs. Comeau. I have always loved teaching, and teaching First Graders is a passion of mine.     I am looking forward to an exciting, productive year of First grade. This year your child will experience many new and different things. I encourage you to read with your child every day. This practice will surely help your child become a strong, confident reader. My classroom will be a positive, productive place for your child to learn and grow.    I encourage parents to communicate with me throughout the school year. I hope each parent can visit our classroom and spend a day in the life of a First grader! I will be sending my contact information to you on the first day of school so you can reach me if needed. Before that time, you may surely email me with any questions you may have.   Again, I look forward to a wonderful year. I am very excited and can not wait to meet all of my new students! *REMINDERS* Want to JUMP START your child’s success? Have them read these words to you everyday before the first week of school:   I, can, see, like, the Please check the "First Grade News" tab to see important upcoming events! If you do not have a copy of the  Supply List, I have posted one for you under the “Supply List” tab.   Please remember to complete and sign all paperwork in the folder that will be sent home with your  child on the first day of school. Send the checklist and all signed forms back with your child the next day. Thank You!!!
